Our annual Wifey for Life workshop is approaching quickly this year on June 4, 2017! We wanted to introduce our amazing workshop sponsors so you get a little background on everyone who is a part of this event. As you may know, Wifey for Life is an educational bridal workshop where Connecticut’s premier vendors can educate brides from all over Connecticut about the different facets of wedding planning. Each session is presented in a classroom setting but there is plenty of laughing, socializing and champagne. Brides will be treated to bubbly, delicious food and a special gift.
This year, our workshop is being held at My Little Ladies Farm and Design Co. and featuring Candi's Florals. For hands on experience and a slew of fabulous vendors to give you tips along the way, you do not want to miss this event! Tickets are selling out fast so be sure to pop over to our Facebook event for all the details!
Tell us about yourselves!
We are Shaina and Arturo Diaz, the husband and wife team behind Shaina Lee Photography. We've been married for almost three years, and truly love working with each other! We have a serious obsession with Hawaii (it's our second home and we can't wait to move there one day!), we'll bust out some moves on the dance floor when a good Salsa song comes on and we love, love, LOVE spreading cheer through donuts! We're hopeless romantics, and can't get enough of working with couples who are truly, madly, deeply in love! I (Shaina) started in the industry in 2010 and instantly fell in love with the details, time and effort I saw each couple putting into their wedding day. After working mostly behind the scenes, Arturo joined me late last year as an official Shaina Lee Photography team member, where we now work together to provide each of our couples an entire experience!
Who or what do you look to for inspiration? Blogs, nature, your family?
There are multiple blogs and other creatives in the wedding industry we channel inspiration from, but we're most inspired by our couples! We get to know them, their love story, their families and the little details about them as a couple. By the time their wedding day comes around, we're able to incorporate that knowledge into the visual story of their day. We've had multiple clients turn into friends over the past few years, and I have to say, it's one of our favorite parts of doing what we do!
You want your products (business, service) to inspire?
It's important to us that our clients are provided with a visual story that can be passed down from one generation to the next. We want their love to be preserved in a rich history of photographs that their children, grandchildren and future generations will look back on. Arturo and I strive to inspire future love stories and visual storytellers through our work.
Why your business? Why should brides work with you?
Arturo and I believe in providing our couples with an entire wedding experience. We don't just book their date and arrive months later on the wedding day without getting to know them. Arturo and I treat each interaction we have with our clients as an important relationship that needs to be nurtured. Being in front of the camera can sometimes be intimidating, which is why we create friendships with our clients to establish a special level of trust. We also believe wedding photography is an art. The details, family emotions, wonderful guest interactions and the couple in their most beautiful moments are some of our favorite things to document for our clients!
To you, what is the most important detail a couple should incorporate into their wedding day?
We love when couples incorporate personal details to their wedding day. Whether it be personalized cufflinks from the bride to her groom or a particular type of decor, anything that reflects their personalities or the two of them as a couple can truly help to personalize their wedding.
We are so excited to have this photography duo a part of our upcoming workshop! For more details on Shaina Lee Photography, check out their website here!
