It's that time again! We're gearing up for our next Wifey for Life workshop! This one is extra special because it's being held in our new event and office space, Events on Main. We are working on so many amazing things and cannot wait to share it with the ladies attending the workshop. I’ve gotten a few emails asking questions that I never thought of while putting together materials for the workshop. So, this post is dedicated to answering a few questions about the workshop and as well as filling you in on a few new details.
DO I HAVE TO BE ENGAGED TO ATTEND THE WORKSHOPS?
Absolutely not! I understand that many ladies, such as myself, begin planning for their wedding well in advance of the actual ring. This is a no judgement zone! If you’re “preplanning”, we’re cool with that. At least when you actually get the ring, you’ll be well informed. If you are engaged and want to bring your single bestie for the experience, do it! We have a specially priced ticket just for them!
WHAT WILL BE DISCUSSED?
This is truly an educational workshop. Come prepared to discuss everything related to wedding stationery, branding your wedding paper and calligraphy. The majority of the material will be about trends, design, customization and what’s available to brides. Our speakers are the best in the business and will provide insight and valuable information to assist you in your wedding planning. Molly will also lead the group in a hands on calligraphy workshop and fill us in on the different styles of calligraphy and hand lettering.
WHY DOES THIS COST? MOST BRIDAL SHOWS ARE FREE!
Yes. But this isn't like most bridal shows. Wifey for Life is an interactive, informative and fun workshop! We go above and beyond to personally vet each speaker and sponsor so that you are given information from trusted wedding professionals. We never accept money from our speakers as a way to protect the integrity of the workshop and the speakers are not paid to participate. We charge a fee to cover the cost of the venue, advertisement and other goodies.
IT GOES FROM 11 - 3ISH…DO I HAVE TO STAY THE ENTIRE TIME?
No way! Our brunch begins at 11am, however if you want to come just for the swag bag and workshop…that’s cool! We understand that people are busy and Sundays can get crazy. Your ticket reserves your seat, guarantees you a swag bag as well as the brunch and mixer after the workshop. Attend what you are able to, if nothing, register for the swag!! It’s amazing!
AM I OBLIGATED TO BOOK WITH ANY OF THE VENDORS?
No! This is not a vendor bridal show; it is purely educational. You are not obligated in any way to book with any vendors or speakers and you will not be sold anything!
WHAT ARE WE GOING TO BE DOING?
So excited that you asked! We’ll kick things off with a brunch at 11am. Register, grab your swag bag, stop by our step and repeat and take a few photos with Heidi Hanson Photography. Around 11:30, I’ll play a fun game with you to help you discover your wedding style. After that we'll begin our workshop with a break in between and a few other fun games. Once the workshop wraps up stay and mingle with our speakers and get to know the other brides in attendance.
DO I HAVE TO PREREGISTER TO ATTEND?
Yes. The gifts are personalized so we’d like to know how many ladies will be attending and what your names are so that we can have your special gift ready for you.
HOW WILL THIS HELP ME?
This workshop will help you understand what options are available to you, what they cost and how you can customize different facets of your wedding to fit your personal style. The purpose of these workshops is for you to gain a better understanding of what goes into planning a wedding and for the vendors involved to gain a better appreciation of what your needs as a bride are.
